Pham Quang Tran Minh is an independent Guitarist & Songwriter. Throughout his career, he plays different musical styles, a very rare musician to play both classical and popular music. In his home country (Vietnam), he is known more for his role as a songwriter. However, Minh also performs as solo guitarist and a truly experienced recording artist. From Baroque music to Folk songs, and Metal Rock, Minh steals audience's hearts with his versatility in music.

Biography

Pham Quang Tran Minh is a Vietnamese guitarist & songwriter. His music is deeply influenced by the poetic beauty of the Northern folk music of Vietnam. Prior to becoming a songwriter, Minh was a guitar lead of the first rock band in Hanoi "Nhung Bac Thang" (1989 - 1992). He was trained as a classical guitarist at Vietnam Academy of Music (Hanoi, Vietnam). His first instrument was a violin before switching to study classical guitar at age 12. Minh later advanced his music study in Jazz/Blues in Eastern Europe, and started composing his first songs in late 1990s. Both his Vietnamese songs and electronica soundtracks highlight his ability to combine rock, and blues elements for guitar with the Vietnamese folk melodies. Beside composing songs and soundtracks, Pham Quang Tran Minh is an experienced & high skilled solo guitarist with his astonishing skills for both classical music and popular music. Minh enjoy playing cover of many rock bands in 70s -90s such as Black Sabbath, UFO, Rolling Stones, Metallica, and especially Eric Clapton.
