Biography

Mr Mike is known as a pioneer of Swiss dance music culture after hosting for many years the legendary “Pump It Up and Groove Lift” radio shows on national radio Couleur 3. He produced various tracks in collaboration with Dj Djaimin as the Black and White Brothers releasing the classic hits "Put your hands up in the air" and "Pump it up" which gave him the international recognition that still holds today. Mike is the boss at MAP Dance Records and also runs his events label We Love House. The record label was created by Mr Mike in order to promote quality house and dance music from Switzerland and abroad and is now distributed worldwide by Prime Direct. The UK’s leading distribution service. In 2005 he discovered Yves La Rock and co-produced his first single "Zookey" the record sold in excess of 150 000 copies and a new career was born. MAP Dance Records then caught the eye of international press and the music industry, establishing itself as a Swiss flagship record label. Two years later Yves Larock signed a second hit on MAP Dance records "Rise up" which was an even bigger success with the single becoming a hit in 25 different territories confirming the status of Yves Larock as international Dj and producer as well as Mr Mike as a successful label owner. To stay in line with the changing trends of dance music in this decade Mr Mike has added another label to the MAP family, MHR Records. Which will showcase the talents of artists from the world of underground dance music, from Colombia to Thailand from Brazil to China and all points between. A truly global affair. Mr Mike is also very active in the studio working as writer/ Vocalist on a couple of exciting collaborations. Following on from his 2016 club hit with Mister P “ Saturday” March 2017 saw a collaboration with Yves Larock released, a tribute track called “Legacy of house” on Facial records. Incoming for the summer of 2017 is a joint called “Lets dance” on the Creativ Music label France, a sure fire hit for the summer! Also due for release is a project with DJ Antoine called “We are Fashion” for Fashion TV. So it looks like a hot summer ahead. Mr Mike is a renowned DJ and has played in most major venues at the same time promoting his syndicated radio show and managing his event label "We Love House" with events in world wide including places like Switzerland, Italy, Holland, Ibiza, Mexico, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, China, Russia and the United States. clubs, beach and pool parties, corporate events, whatever the occasion Mr Mike has the music for your dance floor! If Mike is not in his office working at his labels he is on a flight going to or coming back from somewhere. Taking the party to the people or discovering new product.
