Biography

Co-Founder of Mountain People (2006). The Label had quickly gained international recognition, setting a countertrend to the fading abstract minimalism of the early 2000s by re-introducing lush 90s influenced chords and basslines fusioning with up to date production techniques. Records were widely supported by Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Sonja Moonear, Thomas Melchior and many others. As a duo with Serafin, Mountain People played clubs like Panoramabar, Fabric, Rex Club, Robert Johnson, Fusion Festival, Culture Box, Watergate, Pacha to name a few. In recent years, Rozzo has solo-run the label, which still is among the best selling vinyl imprints. Recent and upcoming appearances: Resolute NYC, Flash Washington, Ministerium Lisbon, Heideglühen Berlin, Guesthouse Bucharest, Waking Life Portugal, Minimuzikhol Istanbul, Waha Festival Romania. His Dj sets are a driving, rhythmic melange of styles, ever focusing on what is possible in the moment with the crowd and the sound system.
