The new Swiss dialect wave is one act richer. AMIXS from Basel are expanding the spectrum with a large portion of Dada and biting wit. With the same self-conception as the intellectual pop-culture tourists Jeans For Jesus or the subversive synth-popper Badger, for example, they make dialect far away from ingratiating homeland romanticism or marketing calculation. AMIXS tick differently: between lo-fi-electro and italodisco beadiness, the two Basel-based musicians take pleasure in scratching at the conventions of good taste and create irrepressibly bizarre pop numbers with powerful sarcasm and social criticism. At their previous concert highlights, they have had the pleasure of performing on the stage of the summer casino where they released their first EP "Kauf", in the beautiful Bar 3000 in Zukunft Zürich and behind the curtains of the Royal in Baden to prove.
